In Guangnan County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan, there was once a small village without even a name. When Nong Jiagui first arrived here, his initial instinct was to run away. But the children's eyes, full of longing for knowledge, made him stay.

One man, one school, over 40 years. In 1992, when Nong Jiagui's first cohort of students graduated from primary school, he discussed with the villagers and named the village Luosongdi while filling out further education documents for the students. Over more than four decades, with Nong Jiagui as the sole teacher, he has overseen the graduation of 12 classes, totaling 126 children, all of whom have successfully embarked on their careers.

Someone asked him if it was worth it. Nong Jiagui replied: "It's worth it, because my students said that if Teacher Nong had hesitated even a little back then and not persisted, we would never have been able to leave the mountains forever." Today, the former leprosy village has shaken off disease and poverty. In the spacious school building, the story of love continues.
