In 2020, Xiao Kai from Hebei Province came to Yunnan seeking a "place to settle down"; in 2022, Da Guai from Xi'an was captivated by the picturesque scenery. Now, they have both become "new villagers" of Baiyun Village in Fengqing County, Lincang.

Touched by the beautiful scenery and local specialties, the two conceived the idea: to stay and lead the villagers in increasing their income through live streaming. The village readily agreed. In live streaming chat room, they showcase tea making and sing folk songs—an e-commerce storm has swept through the rustic village.

Since starting their live streams in December 2024, they have driven the sale of 3,200 kilograms of tea, generating over 620,000 yuan in sales. More than 30 households have found employment nearby, increasing their income by 14,000 yuan.

From "sojourning" to "entrepreneurship," in Yunnan they are living the life they've always wanted and building a shared path to prosperity.
