Yunnan’s Tengchong Beihai Wetland Nature Reserve recently started its winter migratory bird monitoring. Over 1,000 migratory birds have already arrived for the winter, with numbers likely to peak from December to January. As Tengchong’s ecology improves, more wintering and local resident birds are being recorded. Continuous monitoring helps study migration and create safer wintering conditions.
