No leaves or branches—only flowers! The rare parasitic flower in Xishuangbanna has started blooming. This scarlet flower is special: it has no leaves, roots, or stems, like a "mysterious hermit" in the plant world, taking nutrients directly from the roots of its host plant, Tetrastigma planicaule. It appears only from September to December each year and is extremely rare. It has now bloomed steadily for three years in Mengla, quietly reflecting the health and peace of the rainforest.
