The International Organization for Mediation was officially inaugurated in Hong Kong on October 20, with nearly 200 representatives from over 30 Contracting States and Signatory States attending the opening ceremony. It took only five months from the signing of the convention to the organization's formal operation. Currently, 37 countries have signed the convention, eight of which have completed the ratification process.

Adhering to principles of fairness and justice, the International Organization for Mediation will provide a professional mediation platform for the peaceful resolution of international disputes, serving as an effective complement to existing international arbitration and litigation mechanisms. The establishment of this new type of international organization marks a significant step for the international community in the peaceful settlement of disputes.
