China, Laos, and Vietnam have jointly conducted their first cross-border infectious disease emergency drill in Jiangcheng County, Yunnan. A total of 241 participants, including health authorities from Laos and Vietnam alongside Chinese emergency response teams, simulated the outbreak of an emerging infectious disease in the border area. The exercise covered scenarios such as epidemic reporting, sample testing, and on-site disinfection. This hands-on exchange has significantly enhanced the three countries' capabilities in safeguarding public health and strengthening coordinated response efforts in border regions.
