Chinese and Cambodian influencers collaborated at 2025 China-Cambodia Mid-Autumn event to promote cultural tourism

At the 2025 China-Cambodia Mid-Autumn Friendship Event, leveraging the “South and Southeast Asia Internet Celebrity Alliance” mechanism, Yunnan Media Group invited several top Chinese content creators with tens of millions of followers to Cambodia. They joined over ten young Cambodian influencers invited by the Cambodia-China New Media Association for collaborative co-creation.

Nearly twenty new media creators from both countries jointly promoted the “Travel Yunnan, Explore Angkor” cultural tourism IP, while also producing and sharing works centered on Mid-Autumn cultural exchange. During the gala, influencers took to the stage to share their personal travel stories between China and Cambodia. Renowned Cambodian blogger Heng Visa and his wife, who have visited China four times, said: “We love China’s culture, landscapes, and people. I hope everyone can be like me—love China, love Cambodia, and feel welcome in Cambodia.” Chinese influencer Lijiang ShiliuGe expressed his wish to return to Cambodia with his father: “He has been a stonemason all his life. When he sees the exquisite stone carvings of Angkor, he will cry.” To honor these contributions, Cambodia’s Ministry of Information awarded the influencers the title of “2025 China-Cambodia Tourism Year – Tourism Recommendation Ambassadors,” encouraging them to continue promoting mutual tourism between the two countries.
