The two C909 aircraft leased by VietJet Air officially opened the "Hanoi = Con Dao = Ho Chi Minh" route, marking the start of commercial operations of Chinese commercial aircraft in Vietnam. Indonesia's Linya Airlines, Lao Airlines, and Vietnam's VietJet Air have cumulatively used C909 aircraft to open 15 routes in Southeast Asia, transporting more than 250,000 passengers.
