Yunnan's dinosaur family has added another member. On April 2, 2025, the internationally renowned academic journal PeerJ published online the latest research results of researchers from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chuxiong Museum and other institutions, naming a new dinosaur genus and species - Jinshajiang Yuanmouraptor. This is a major step forward in Yunnan's dinosaur archaeology.
