On November 8, 500,000 "Boxiong No. 1" tilapia fry were exported from Xishuangbanna to Nantha Province, Laos through border trade. Xishuangbanna Prefecture is accelerating the establishment of a freshwater fish fry base and continuously expanding the Southeast Asian fish fry export market. As of now, the tilapia production in Xishuangbanna Prefecture in 2024 has reached 72,000 tons, 790 million fry, and nearly 90 million fry have been exported to Laos and Myanmar.
