Recently, snow leopard activity was detected for the first time in Deqin County, Diqing Prefecture. Deqin County set up a monitoring area in the protected vacant area to carry out wildlife monitoring. This monitoring deployed 100 infrared cameras at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters. So far, this monitoring has found one snow leopard and recorded a total of 8 national key protected wild animals.
