From November 6 to 7, the 8th Leaders' Meeting of the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation (GMS) was held in Kunming, Yunnan. The theme of the meeting was "Focus on innovative development and build a better home together". At the meeting, representatives of the six countries discussed development together. All parties emphasized strengthening open cooperation, innovation-driven development, deepening infrastructure connectivity, and close communication and cooperation. Chinese Premier Li Qiang said that China and the Mekong countries are a community of shared destiny, and they must work closely together, give full play to their economic complementary advantages, further deepen practical cooperation in various fields, firmly move forward hand in hand on the road of common development, and make positive contributions to peace, tranquility, development and prosperity in the region and the world. The meeting adopted a number of outcome documents aimed at promoting regional economic integration, promoting inclusive and sustainable development among countries, and moving forward hand in hand.
