On October 15, the 2024 China-Laos Fishery Joint Law Enforcement and Fish Enhancement and Release Activities were held in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The theme of this event is "Drinking from the Same River, Protecting the Mother River Together", and a total of 770,000 fish fry were released. The Lancang-Mekong River is 4,900 kilometers long and is one of the world's largest rivers with rich freshwater biodiversity. China and Laos have carried out joint law enforcement and fish enhancement and release activities for 10 consecutive years, releasing a total of 4.235 million fish fry, which has effectively promoted the protection of aquatic life and resource recovery in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin.
