Recently, bird photography enthusiasts in Menglian Dai, Lahu and Wa Autonomous County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, captured the activities of Brown-winged Cuckoo, a national second-level key protected wild animal, in the local area. The body color of sub-adult Brown-winged Cuckoo is slightly different from that of adult Brown-winged Cuckoo. The upper body of sub-adult Brown-winged Cuckoo is dark brown with white horizontal stripes; the main body of adult Brown-winged Cuckoo is black, with a blue-purple metallic luster on the head and chest. Brown-winged Cuckoo feeds on insects such as locusts and beetles, and is a bird with strong survival ability.
