Recently, staff at the Weiyuanjiang Provincial Nature Reserve in Jinggu County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, discovered precious images of the national second-level protected deer muntjac in infrared camera data.  Red muntjac, also known as red muntjac, Indian muntjac, horned muntjac and barking deer, are timid and alert, active in the morning and dusk. They are solitary animals. Female muntjacs form small groups during estrus.
