Police and civilians in Honghe, Yunnan, rescued a Japanese slow-monkey and sent it back to nature. Villagers in Longgu Village, Yuping Town, Pingbian County, Honghe Prefecture, picked up a "little monkey" on the side of the road. This little guy has a round head, big eyes, a cute appearance, and a petite body. The police took good care of it and fed it bananas, loquats, grasshoppers and other foods to replenish energy. According to the Pingbian Management and Protection Bureau, this "little monkey" is the smallest prosimian species in my country - the Japanese slow monkey, which is a national first-level key protected animal. After preliminary inspection, it was found that the Japanese slow monkey had no external injuries and was in good condition, suitable for release.
