Come to yunnan for festivals Xishuangbanna celebrates the New Year’s Day of 1386 in the Dai calendar. Thousands of people light Kongming lanterns together.  

On April 13, on the banks of the Lancang River in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, thousands of people set off Kongming lanterns to celebrate the New Year of 1386 in the Dai calendar.  

Kongming lanterns carrying good wishes slowly rise in the night sky, filling the sky with stars and complementing the water lanterns on the river, forming a unique landscape.
