Since the beginning of this year, with the accelerated pace of my country's opening up to the outside world and the rapid development of tourism in neighboring countries, the number of entry and exit passengers at the port has increased significantly. As of March 23, the Mohan Border Inspection Station has inspected and released more than 640,000 inbound and outbound passengers, year-on-year. The number doubled, with more than 140,000 vehicles inspected and released, a year-on-year increase of about 30%.  Since March, more than 600 inbound and outbound border tour groups with nearly 9,100 people have been released, an increase of 1.8 times and 2.1 times respectively from the previous month.

This year is the "Year of Tourism" in Laos. In order to promote the development of tourism, the Lao government has introduced a series of tourism facilitation policies. With the opening of the China-Laos railway, the attraction of Laos tourism has continued to increase, and border tourism has also become more attractive due to its short time and long journey.  Short-term and low-cost, it has become a popular way of traveling among Chinese people.  In addition, the annual Water Splashing Festival is about to begin, and the number of border tour orders received by travel agencies has increased sharply, with a year-on-year increase of more than 30%.
